Green Street Works and Changes to Hospital Access

Patients, visitors and community members are advised that roadworks along Green Street will continue from Wednesday, 4 November, with changes to parking and vehicle access around Northeast Health Wangaratta.

Week commencing 2 November

  • Hospital entrances: Pedestrian access along Green Street will remain open, with patients and visitors able to access the hospital’s public entrances.
  • Roadworks: Kerb, channel and road pavement works will continue between the Emergency Department driveway and the hospital main entrance.
  • Parking restrictions: No parking will be available on the western side of Green Street between Cusack Street and the hospital main entrance.
  • Bus stop closure: The bus stop outside the hospital’s main entrance (37581) remains closed. Passengers should use the alternative bus stop outside 25 Green Street.

Important Changes from Monday, 9 November

Patients and visitors travelling to the hospital should be aware of additional access changes:

  • Hospital car park: Vehicle entry and exit via Green Street will be temporarily closed. All vehicles must access the hospital car park via Spearing Street.
  • Pedestrian access: Access from Green Street to the hospital car park will remain available for pedestrians.
  • Parking restrictions: No on-street parking will be available on either side of Green Street between Cusack Street and the hospital main entrance.

Please allow extra travel time when attending appointments or visiting the hospital and follow all temporary signage and traffic directions.

We thank our patients, visitors and community for their patience and understanding while these important works are completed.
