Fees

Fees vary between diagnostic studies and interventional procedures.
Payment (if required) will be collected at the time of your appointment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS and cash. (American Express not accepted)

Eligible patients are bulk-billed for most diagnostic studies. Some studies ordered by podiatrists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths do not attract a Medicare rebate, and a fee may be charged.

Other Fees (out-of-pocket expenses)

An out-of-pocket expense (commonly known as a gap) may be applicable to interventional procedures, such as injections, aspirations and biopsies.
A reduced out-of-pocket expense will apply to holders of pensioner concession cards, health care cards, DVA white and gold cards, and Border Medical Oncology patients.

Private health insurance does not usually cover out-of-pocket expenses for outpatient diagnostic imaging studies and procedures. Please contact your insurer for further information.

Pre-approved WorkCover and TAC patients are welcomed.

What should I bring and wear on the day of my scan?

Please bring:

  • Your X-rays and scans from the last 2 years.

Please wear loose and comfortable clothes.

  • Avoid clothes with zips, belts or buttons made of metal.
  • Remove objects such as keys, wallets and phones before going into the scanning area.

How soon will I receive my results?

Your results are sent to your referring doctor within 14 working days. Studies determined to require urgent results are reported within 24 hours.

Digital images are accessible by your referring doctor via I-MED Online. If requested, we can provide a disc with your images for you to take to your doctor or specialist.
