Appointments

Urgent scans are available on the same day that you visit.

If your scan is not urgent, please phone our team on: +61 (03) 5722 5001 to book an appointment.

We can also book appointments for diagnostic x-ray and ultrasound at regional hospitals in Beechworth, Bright and Myrtleford.

Please do not bring children with you to your appointment. For safety reasons, we do not allow children to accompany other clients to imaging appointments.

Only children with their own appointment will be allowed to attend the Medical Imaging department. If you have any concerns about this policy, please chat with our team when booking your appointment.

Cost

Medicare covers the cost of most of our medical imaging services. We bulk bill for all eligible services.

An out-of-pocket expense, commonly known as a “gap” payment may be charged for different tests. It is expected that this payment will be made on the day of your appointment. If you have any questions or would like more information about our fees, please ask our staff when you are booking your appointment.

All proceeds generated from our imaging facility go towards the purchase of new state-of-the-art equipment to support our community’s medical imaging needs.

Pre-approved WorkCover and TAC claims are welcome.

What should I bring and wear on the day of my scan?

Please bring:

  • A valid Medicare card and the request/referral from your doctor – you cannot be scanned without a request/referral
  • Your X-rays and scans from the last 2 years – our radiologists may need to keep them but we will let you know when you may collect them.

Please wear loose and comfortable clothes.

  • Avoid clothes with zippers, belts or buttons made of metal
  • Remove objects such as keys and wallets before going into the scanning area.

How soon will I receive my results?

Your results are usually sent to your referring doctor within 3 to 4 working days. Urgent results are given the highest priority.

Digital images are accessible by your referring doctor via IMED online. If requested we can provide a disc with your images for you to take to your doctor or specialist.
