National Reconciliation Week is celebrated across Australia from 27 May- 3 June, and the theme for #NRW2020 is ‘In This Together’
Now more than ever as a nation we are learning just what being ‘in this together’ really means. Let’s hope the recent events in 2020 will transfer into more tolerance and understanding as we work together for reconciliation.
NHW Reconciliation Action Plan
In June 2019, we established a reconciliation working group to develop and implement NHW’s very first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) with Reconciliation Australia. The purpose, to develop clear, measurable and achievable goals that influence a positive change and help close the GAP on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement, education and employment opportunities within our organisation and the communities of the north east.
