Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the framing stage for its new staff housing development. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the project, bringing NHW closer to providing modern and much-needed accommodation for healthcare professionals in the region.
The new housing facility is supported through the Victorian Government’s Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, and is part of NHW’s ongoing commitment to supporting staff by offering high-quality, comfortable living spaces for those dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services. With the framing now in place, the project is set to move into its next phase, which includes roofing, external cladding, and interior work.
“The completion of the framing stage is a really exciting milestone for this project,” said Kim Bennetts, Executive Director People and Corporate Operations at Northeast Health Wangaratta. “Providing quality housing for our staff is an important part of attracting and retaining skilled healthcare professionals. This development will make it easier for our people to live and work locally, strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality care to the community.”
With this stage complete, the project will continue according to schedule, with an expected completion date of June 2026. The new accommodation will provide modern, fully equipped apartments, designed to meet the needs of healthcare workers in the area.
NHW would like to express its gratitude to all those involved in the construction process, and to the local community for their ongoing support and patience as work progresses.
