NHW is supporting local young people interested in a health-related tertiary course of study by providing opportunities for a variety of Gap Year traineeship roles.
Kestrel Recruitment and NHW are excited to be offering the following Gap Year positions for those who will be commencing a Gap year in 2023. We are seeking applicants who are graduating Year 12 in 2022 and will be commencing University studies preferably in a health-related course in 2024.
Each position is for a 12-month period and will entail delivering a high standard of duties, care and a commitment to studying a TAFE course while working at NHW.
Certificate 3 Business Administration Traineeship
- 1 position in the NHW Education & Research Unit
- 1 position in the NHW Volunteer & Philanthropic Services Unit
These positions will vary in their hours from 32 hours per fortnight up to up to 80 hours per fortnight dependent on the position you apply for. Paid study leave of up to 12hrs per month is included in the hours.
All students are required to submit an application via the Kestral Recruitment website, including your most up-to-date resume and a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria for the position. You must also be prepared to complete and attain:
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Provide evidence of full vaccination including COVID
Note: All applicants will need to provide evidence of deferment from an undergraduate tertiary course of study preferably in a health-related field with a registered Education provider prior to commencement.
