Consumer Advisory Committee

Consumer Representatives Expression of Interest

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is seeking consumer representatives to sit on the Consumer Advisory Committee, a sub-committee of the NHW Board. The committee advises NHW on how our health service can improve from the point of view of the local community.

The functions of the committee include document development, input into current projects, consultation for future service delivery development and acting as a conduit for opinions and experiences coming from the community.

We are looking for Expressions of Interest from people who have strong community networks and can bring a fresh perspective.

Becoming a consumer representative is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the way NHW delivers care that is available to local community members.

The primary purpose of the role of a consumer representative:

  • Contribute specialist knowledge and expertise by providing consumer, carer and community perspectives, whether through lived, personal or professional experience
  • Use your strong community networks and/or your good understanding of local issues to inform planning
