Overview:
Building on our culture of valuing lifelong learning, Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) aims to provide Registered Nurse Graduates with opportunities to fulfil their professional goals by becoming resilient, competent and reflective clinicians.
NHW collaborate with a number of Central Hume Health Services to facilitate a Registered Nurse Graduate Program aimed at building a strong and resilience workforce, which offers:
- A Graduate oriented professional development program, targeting the learning needs of Registered Nurses as they transition to practice
- Unit based Clinical Support Nurses providing support to Graduates in the clinical environment
- Four six-month rotations over two years, which may include an intra-hospital rotation within the Central Hume collaboration
- Ongoing dedicated education and support during the second year of practice

Graduates must be registered with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV). Application information and requirements are available at PMCV Allocation & Placement Service
Applications must include all documents listed below:
- Letter of application
- Completed NHW Employment Statutory Declaration
- Current CV, including:
- placement history
- 2 professional/clinical referees (via PMCV portal), i.e. clinical placement facilitator, a manager from current healthcare-related workplace (if relevant)
- Most recent academic transcript with results legend, including academic transcripts for previous nursing qualifications (i.e. Enrolled Nurse)
- Passport sized photograph
- Two most recent full clinical placement reports – must be inclusive of interim and final reports & may include 2nd or 3rd year reports.
