Northeast Health Wangaratta’s  COVID-19 Screening Clinic will operate alongside the Vaccination Clinic from Saturday, 24 July.

While the two clinics will share the former Holden dealership site in Tone Road, they will be in separate buildings, with different entries.

Entry to the Screening Clinic will be via Vincent Road, while entry to the Vaccination Clinic continues to be via Tone Road.

NHW Interim Chief Executive Officer Fiona Shanks said the move to have both clinics operate from neighbouring buildings would help community members and staff.

“Since opening our Vaccination Clinic at the new location our staff and community members receiving vaccinations have been much more comfortable,” she said.

“We wanted to give the Vaccination Clinic a few weeks of operating from the new site before moving the Screening Clinic.

“Now is the right time to make the move.”

The Screening Clinic continues to see high demand, with between 90 and 140 people being tested every day since 28 June.

The Screening Clinic will cease operating from its current Docker Street location at midday Friday, re-opening at 1.00pm on Saturday at the new location.
