A special Mums & Bubs forum held at the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre last week was a fantastic opportunity to receive valuable feedback on the maternity services we provide at Northeast Health.
Local mothers and their babies who have received antenatal, delivery and post-natal care through Northeast Health over the past 12 months were invited to join us for a special morning tea and informal forum, where the mums were encouraged to share their thoughts and provide honest feedback regarding the care they received and what could be improved.
This kind of information provides valuable insight from the mother’s perspective and will have a direct impact on our Maternity Quality Plan over the next year.
There will be a further opportunity to engage with local families when we gather to celebrate 20 years of the Community Midwife Program (CMP) on Saturday 27th October 2018. This fabulous event, complete with jumping castle, face painting and a sausage sizzle will be held on the lawn area adjacent to the CMP house (corner of Cusack and Dixon Streets, Wangaratta). We look forward to welcoming families who have been associated with CMP over the years, along with staff past and present to this special celebration.
